How to groom your dog at home!

Don't you feel fresh after a good skincare session or a good hair spa? Your fur friend feels the same when you give him a good shampoo bath and then brush those thick furs. Your dog's grooming is as important and essential as your personal grooming. Dogs must be groomed every week as their skin, paws and hair is a happy place for a lot of breeding ticks and insects. If not groomed or cleaned your dog might also develop some skin diseases which are incurable and also the infections can spread in your house and to you as well.

While you can take your dog out to pet grooming clicks, but it is not required every time and following some easy grooming sessions at home can save you a lot of time and money as well and also the hassle of taking your dog out to a place he might not like. :)

  1. Brushing at Home

A good brushing session is something your dog loves, and also makes your dog look way more cuter than he actually is! Several brushing strokes during the week or even twice or thrice a week is the best way to keep all those twigs, dirt and tangled hair away. Dogs hair attract a lot of air pollens, dirt and other materials that are hidden to the naked eye. There are different type of hair brushes available in the market, and we have the best ones too suiting your dog's coat, hair-length and skin. Shop now!

2. Bathing at Home

Your dog should have several but not frequent baths depending on your dog's breed and coat type. Frequent baths might extract natural oils from your dog's skin and will eventually make the coat harsh.

You can use a mild shampoo while giving a bath to your doggo. Make your dog stand in a tub or sink, you can put cotton balls in his ears and some mineral oils in his eyes for precautions. Wet your dog with warm or cold water and put shampoo on this back and neck. Rub the shampoo all over the body nicely. After lathering and scrubbing, rinse nicely with water. Rub your dog's body with a dry towel and let him be for some time. Dogs generally need some time after their bath session alone to dry themselves. After some time if you still feel that your dog is wet, you can blow dry him as well on low heat and fan. After complete drying, brush the coat and tada it's time to snuggle now.

3. Eye, ear and tooth cleaning at home

Your dog's ears need cleaning at least once a month. Never force anything into the ear for cleaning, instead use a wet cotton swab or a cotton ball to clean the ears. Always consult your vet if you see something unusual inside the ears or eyes. Never experiment with a sharp object to clean anything. Use a wet cotton ball to clean the eye discharges. There are many toothbrushes available for dogs, always buy a hard one for your paw friends as the soft ones wont clean better. Use a little toothpaste if you want to. Give your dogs chew toys when they are small to keep their teeth clean
